DESIGNING SUSTAINABLY

"We did not inherit the world from our fathers, but we have borrowed it from our children and we must return it to them better than how we found it."

[ quoting an ancient Masai saying ]
Robert Baden-Powell

THE FIRM

The architectural firm of Rossella Campigli, based in Fucecchio, in the province of Florence, is dedicated to sustainable design, with a particular focus on alternative energy and green building.
Thanks to the collaboration with Maurizio Falorni, an electrical technician specialized in energy diagnosis, rational use of energy, and in renewables, the firm also offers complete services, including turnkey solutions if requested.
The combination of multidisciplinary skills guarantees tailor-made solutions for every client.
The firm is committed to developing innovative, sustainable and cutting-edge projects with respect for the environment.

GREEN DESIGN

The studio specializes in sustainable design, with a keen interest in alternative energy practices in construction. Everything starts with a detailed energy diagnosis, crucial to evaluating the building′s needs and identifying the most effective solutions. The next stage is the actual design, which incorporates ecological principles, innovative technologies, and natural materials or those with low environmental impact.
This approach aims to create efficient, environmentally friendly buildings that enhance living comfort. It involves using state-of-the-art systems, such as geothermal heat pumps, and the ability to remotely manage the building through home automation.
The studio offers a complete service that also includes site management and construction site safety.

OTHER SERVICES

  • Technical consultancy aimed at the energy saving of buildings, complementary to the use of alternative energies
  • Preparation of the report for the verification of standards for energy consumption containment (ex Law 10/91)
  • Energy certification of buildings (APE)
  • Building management
  • Consulting and assistance in sales and divisions
  • Accounting for construction site works
  • Succession declarations and presentation at the Revenue Agency
  • Out-of-court appraisal reports
  • Cadastral practices at the ′Agenzia del Territorio′, using the DOCFA procedure with attached floor plans and the PREGEO procedure for different map types
  • Appeals at the Tax Commission
  • ENEA practices for tax deductions
  • Design of plants, practices for connecting renewable energy systems (TICA, GAUDI, GSE) and management of them
  • Consulting for participating in calls for tenders

ALTERNATIVE ENERGY

The firm has gained significant experience in the field of alternative energy, such as various biomass power plant projects for schools. It has also implemented several projects in the field of photovoltaics, contributing to the promotion of renewable energy sources.
Among the innovations developed, the agrivoltaics project stands out, which involves the installation of photovoltaic panels over crops (e.g. vineyard). This solution allows for the optimization of land use, providing crop protection and energy production at the same time.
Of interest is also the development of energy communities for the sharing and optimization of the use of the produced energy.
The firm′s working method is highly collaborative with clients, engineers, and external consultants, simplifying the production process from idea to realization and throughout its development, in line with the role of the architect as an expert in managing the complexity of the construction process.

DESIGNING SUSTAINABLY

The approach of the study is a sustainable one that integrates the design of buildings and plants with the environment, also following the principles of bioclimatics. The Nzeb concept (Nearly Zero Energy Building) and the development of green homes applied allow for structures that consume almost no energy, thanks to the use of advanced technologies and low-impact materials. Energy efficiency is key in reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions, contributing to the fight against climate change.
Bioarchitectural design favours the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and geothermal. Moreover, thermal insulation and the use of controlled ventilation systems improve indoor air quality. The combination of these elements allows for more sustainable buildings that are economical to manage and comfortable. The study also offers specialised consultancy on incentives and regulations that favour the diffusion of these innovative solutions in the building sector.
